De Rui is among the cars present in the 1968 field without the make making much of a mark. In 1970 Redaelli raced one in the first heat of the seventh round.
In 1968 Auto Italiana names De Rui among the makes still in the field. In 1972 Redaelli on a De Rui finished thirteenth in the championship with six points — the source spells it «De Ruy» there. The make does not appear in the 1973 Coppa Costruttori. In an undated entry list Giancarlo Serafini of the Scuderia Escolette is entered on a De Rui.
