This statement describes which personal data are processed on this website. It follows the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

This website is a private, non-commercial project about the Fiat 500. No data is sold, rented out or used for advertising.
What is generated when you visit the site
When a page is called up, your device transmits technically necessary information to the server: IP address, date and time, the address called up, browser and operating system. This information is generated on every web server and serves operation and security. It is not merged with other data and is not evaluated in order to recognise individual persons.
The website is hosted by Micro Solutions AG in Switzerland. The host processes the resulting data exclusively for the operation of the website and is bound to confidentiality.
Cookies
This site sets two cookies, both technically necessary:
- pll_language – remembers the language you chose. Lifetime one year.
- moove_gdpr_popup – remembers your answer to the cookie notice, so that it does not appear on every visit. Lifetime one year.
There are no others – the visitor statistics also manage without one, see the next section. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work, but will not remember your choice of language.
Visitor statistics
So that we can see which pages are being read, visitor statistics are kept using the software Matomo. It runs on our own server in Switzerland – the very one that hosts this website. The figures therefore stay in house: no statistics service in the background, no evaluation by an outside provider, no passing on.
What is recorded: the page called up, date and time, the page you came from, browser and operating system, the screen size, an approximate location at city level, and the terms you enter into this site’s search.
Two settings deliberately differ from what the software does out of the box:
- No cookie. The measurement leaves nothing in your browser.
- Shortened IP address. The last two bytes of your IP address are removed before it is stored – 192.168.10.25 becomes 192.168.0.0. The approximate location, too, is determined solely from this shortened address.
Visits by logged-in editors of this website are not counted.
If you would rather not be counted, an informal message to the address given above is enough – we will then exclude your IP address from the measurement.
Third-party services
This site embeds no advertising networks, no maps, no social network buttons and no videos from outside platforms. Images, typefaces, documents and scripts come from our own server, and the visitor statistics likewise stay in house – see the section above.
Defence against attacks
To protect against attacks, a security program logs conspicuous access – for example repeated failed login attempts. IP addresses are stored for a limited time in the process. These logs serve exclusively the security of the website.
Search
If you enter a search term, it is processed in order to produce the list of results. The term is also recorded in the visitor statistics, so that we can see what people look for on this site – with no reference to you personally, since the statistics have neither a cookie nor your full IP address.
Vehicle registers
This website keeps registers of rare vehicles – among others for Ferves, Francis Lombardi, Savio, Baldi, Laika and Steinwinter. The aim is to keep the whereabouts of these vehicles traceable over the years – a purely private collector’s interest.
Where the details come from: not only from the keepers themselves. Entries also arise from observations at meetings and exhibitions, from publicly available sales advertisements and from reports by other enthusiasts. Some of the details are therefore not collected from the person concerned.
Publicly visible are, for the vehicle: chassis number, type, year built, colour, country, an internal number and the date of recording – and for the person exclusively the first name.
In some of the registers – for instance the Francis Lombardi My Car – the vehicles are additionally named after and ordered by their registration number; there the plate is therefore public. If it is only partly legible, or should not be shown in full, an x stands in the places concerned – for example CA-14xxxx.
Not public and kept strictly internally are: surname, address and place of residence, the vehicle’s location, telephone number, e-mail address, purchase prices and sales, the origin of the pictures, and our remarks on a vehicle. These details appear nowhere on the website and are not passed on. Vehicle documents are not published at all.
What you can do: anyone listed in the register may at any time ask what is stored about them, have it corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. An informal message to the address given above is enough; the entry is then deleted or anonymised. No reason need be given.
Photographs of vehicles
The photographs in this archive come from our own collection or were entrusted to us by keepers and collectors.
In the vehicle registers, people who are recognisable in a photograph are removed before publication. With more recent pictures this is done with the help of an image-editing service that reconstructs the covered spot – so the picture is not merely cropped, the background is recalculated. The unedited original stays unpublished in our archive.
Outside the registers, a photograph showing recognisable people is not published at all. Printed advertising material of the period is a different matter – brochures, catalogues, advertisements, magazines: these are published printed works, and the people shown are advertising models. We show such sheets as they are.
Anyone who recognises themselves in a photograph, or who would like the picture of a vehicle taken down, is welcome to write to – we will remove it.
Contact form and e-mail
The contact page carries a form. It asks for name, e-mail address, a subject and your message; you may attach pictures or PDFs if you wish. We do not ask for a telephone number.
What you enter is not stored in the website but delivered as an e-mail to . The message additionally carries the date and time, the page you wrote from, your browser identification and your IP address – details that the form module appends and that help to spot misuse.
The same applies if you write to us directly: your details are used to deal with your enquiry and kept for as long as that requires. Nothing is passed on. If a report feeds into a vehicle register, the rules in the section “Vehicle registers” apply.
Your rights
You have the right to request information about your processed personal data, to demand its correction or deletion and to object to the processing. An informal message to the address given above is sufficient.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This statement may be adapted if the website changes. The version published here applies in each case.
