Lucertola

Ferrario Carlo and Giuseppe, father and son, working with Giuseppe Mauri, built a total of 21 vehicles plus 3 prototypes between 1969 and 1974. All had six wheels, four of them linked by chains.

The Lucertola was built to order only; its market was local.

After the first three prototypes the licensing authority approved production. Three vehicles were built with the Giardiniera engine, an approach later dropped because of cooling problems. All the others had the 500 F engine. The gearbox came from the Fiat 600 with a specially developed reduction using gears from the Fiat 1100 gearbox. The front suspension came from the Fiat 500 Giardiniera. Tracks for the two rear wheels were available as an option.
