Spider Puch
In 1965 Neckar Automobilwerke Aktiengesellschaft of Heilbronn commissioned Siata in Turin to build two prototypes. The starting point was the Siata Student, built in Turin on Fiat mechanicals. Under the glass-fibre body, however, sits the running gear of the Steyr-Puch 650 TR from Graz.
The car was shown at the 1965 International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The brochure calls it a prototype in so many words: wheelbase and body were to be lengthened by 100 mm later on, and series production was planned for Heilbronn within a few months. Two cars were built.

- Engine: two-cylinder four-stroke flat twin at the rear, air-cooled, 643 cc, 30 hp (DIN) at 5,000 rpm, compression ratio 1:8.5
- Gearbox: four synchronised speeds and reverse, floor shift
- Suspension: independent at the front, jointed swing axle with coil springs at the rear, hydraulic telescopic dampers, 3.50–12 tyres
- Brakes: oversized hydraulic drums
- Body: glass-fibre reinforced plastic with metal reinforcement, two seats, luggage space behind the seats, removable side windows, folding top, hardtop on request
- Weight and speed: 510 kg empty, about 130 km/h
