Over the years Fiat brought various versions of the 500 to market. Between 1957 and 1975, improvements and changes were continually fed into production.

Derivatives

Fiat also sold the 500 as a bare bodyshell. This brought both beautiful and curious vehicles to market. Many companies tried their luck using the Fiat 500 as a base – some with less, others with more success. Many of these companies were never heard of again; a few became well known and still exist today.
