The name Jamos is made up of the names of the two men behind it: Jauernig, a Viennese coachbuilding firm, and Rudolf Moser, who handled sales, service and repairs for Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG in Vienna (other sources call him Peter Moser). Only a handful of cars were built. The Swiss Automobil Revue described the Jamos 650 GT in its 1964 catalogue and noted a year later that it was not being produced at present.

Jamos 650 GT
The glass-fibre reinforced plastic body sits on the chassis of the Steyr-Puch 650 T. A report in the magazine hobby gives a 643 cc flat-twin tuned from 25 to 40 hp, a weight of 460 kg and 150 km/h. The car cost 60,000 schillings, more than twice as much as the ordinary 650 T at 28,280 schillings.
One car survives. Jauernig bought it back in 1982 and restored it; it has been in the family ever since.
