Fiat Nuova 500 (N/Economica/Trasformabile)

The Fiat 500 was officially presented in July 1957. With 479 cc the little one had a whole 13 hp and cost 490’000 lire. From 1960 only 395’000 lire.

The start was absolutely no success. The 500 was too expensive compared with the Fiat 600.

Just 3 months after its introduction the revised Normale version was introduced.

The engine designation is 110.000

The N was produced from 1957 to 1960.

Chassis numbers of all N versions:

1957 from 000101 to 028538
1958 from 028539 to 051383
1959 from 051384 to 117657
1960 from 117658 to 181137

Fiat Nuova 500 Normale

In November 1957 the Normale version appeared. With 479 cc it now had 15 hp and still cost 490’000 lire. It now had wind-down windows, chrome wheel caps, trim strips and quite a bit more, however.

Fiat Nuova 500 SPORT

In 1958 the 500 Sport was presented. With 499,5 cc and 21 hp it reached 105 km/h.

The engine had the designation 110.004. When the D was presented and Abarth and Giannini covered the “Sport” segment, production was discontinued.
